The Her Heart Poetry International Micropoetry Prize has been extended to 30 August 2018. THE ANNUAL ǀ 2018 is open to anyone who is passionate about poetry and to and both previously published and unpublished poets. The winner will receive USD$250.00 and three copies of the resulting printed anthology. In addition up to 100 poems will be selected for the anthology, THE ANNUAL, which will be available in digital and hardcopy format from our digital bookstore and on Amazon.com. Is this open to people from [insert country here]? Yes, yes, yes!  This is an International poetry competition and all are welcome to enter.  Payment will be made to the winner via PayPal and copies of the anthology sent via international post, so borders are no barrier to entry. Is there a theme? We have not set a specific theme. We are looking for your best short work poem/micropoem. Works should be written in this spirit. Kristina Fanning Curator – Instagram ǀ @kristinafanning Kristina is an editor from the United States, who in her spare time writes, reads and takes photos. Among her favorite poets are Octavio Paz, Frank O’Hara, E.E. Cummings, and the ancient Chinese masters. The team at Her Heart Poetry will be taking some down time over the holiday season to soak up the sun and relax with family.  During this time here will be limited posts to Instagram and the magazine. FINAL DAY TO SIGN UP ǀ #Instapoet Secret Santa Poetry Exchange 2017

Last year we asked you to leave poetry across your town or city. This year we are asking you to send your poetry across the world! Her Heart Poetry and Artlixir are proud to host the #Instapoet Secret Santa Exchange in 2017. The purpose of this event is to connect poets across the globe, and share the joy of the holiday season. Each participant will send a joyful piece of poetry to another Instapoet, and receive one in return. We ask each participant to post a photo of the poem they receive on their Instagram account, with the hashtag #InstapoetSecretSanta2017 and selected images will be featured on Artlixir and Her Heart as well.
